Established a successful Real Estate Investment Portfolio of Rental Properties plus managed rentals for investors both residential and commercial.

November 2021 Launched my Fourth Career as an Author, Speaker, Coach. Began online virtual live group and individual coaching of Five Unit Revitalize Your Life" program. Third edition of book, Healing Process After Divorce, is in final stages will launch Winter of 2022. Eight year project of writing book on the Power of Perspective will launch the Spring of 2023. Public speaking events are being booked and presented.

Director of Academic Affairs/Campus Director

As newly hired Director of Academic Affairs, I quadrupled the number of faculty, improved faculty training, and improved quality in the classroom. Managing a staff of three, we instituted quality general faculty meetings, an academic counsel, and multiple additional training opportunities for faculty members. We consistently exceeded guidelines for faculty course assignments. Was responsible for the Academic Affairs budget, faculty pay, faculty recruiting, and training expenses plus I taught Gen/101, GEN/300. COM/525, FIN/324 and FIN/325 in the FlexNet and Online modalities. Facilitated the faculty certification training for new faculty for the Idaho Campus.

 

After three years as Director of Academic Affairs I became the Campus Director for the Idaho Campus in April of 2006. In 18 months turned enrollment around from declining to growing and surpassed the previous high point for total student enrollment. Stabilized attrition, opened up the campus culture, made three promotions from within the staff, resulting in performance for the campus that exceeded regional expectations. Carried the University mission into the community through involvement with Chambers of Commerce, community leaders, business leaders, and community service.

It was essentially being President of a small university with 2,000 students. I managed three departments, 4 direct reports, 55 staff, and 100 faculty. I was responsible for marketing, enrollment, academic affairs, faculty, students, programs, staff, and budget results.

Managing Director

Anchor Point Institute

Salt Lake City, Utah

As owner I had oversight for all aspects of the business, staff, marketing, programs, trainers, and budget. Anchor Point Institute was a Proprietary Educational Institution (family owned) offering training in the fields of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), social work, and human relations. I completed three levels of certification in advanced communication skills. Expanded company products and established strategic alliances. Developed a financial consulting division and contracted my financial expertise to businesses.

Idaho Banking Company

Boise, Idaho

Developed and expanded business banking relationships with specialty in SBA loan financing. Left to pursue personal interests in financial consulting and assist family owned business in Utah. 

1981-1999

Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer

US Bank

Boise, Idaho

Moved from Panama City, Panama to Boise, Idaho and joined the Bank as a Commercial Loan Officer. Gained valuable experience through five departments, three mergers, and four title promotions to vice president. Developed expertise with the Boise business market. Selected as one of three loan officers to start the first Business Banking Center. Noted for bringing in new customers and developing strong and growing relationships. Promoted to Credit Approval Officer over bank’s SBA Program. Selected to organize and manage the bank’s first SBA center. Hired and managed staff of three and lead the bank to number one SBA lender in Idaho. Promoted to International Department and certified in ExIm Bank lending. Analyzed, structured, and managed complex international project financing. A fourth bank merger eliminated my position. U S Bank, 101 S. Capital Blvd, Suite 102, Boise, Idaho (208) 383-7990. Chase Manhattan Bank

New York City, New York

Trained by Chase Manhattan Bank as a certified financial analyst. Worked in International Banking as a Relationship Manager to Financial Institutions in the Caribbean, the North Coast of South America, and Central America. Manager of Correspondent Banking in Panama/Central America. Responsible for 150 bank relationships, 7 countries, deposit balances $35 Million, loans $75 Million. Analyzed client financial statements, completed loan structuring and recommendations, and managed full business relationships. Managed staff, and implemented new products and expanded business in the region. Left to relocate to Idaho to work with a large regional bank in commercial lending. In 2001, I completed training in Neuro Linguistic Programming, "NLP", and attained certifications as Practitioner, Master Practitioner, and Health Certification. NLP is the study of how the Human Brain Works and utilizes processes and strategies for rapid yet lasting desired thought and behavioral changes.
